So the Chesapeake Diaries book sent me back to reread the Mercy Street books.Jangahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15128188159653860806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8192776379752748640.post-33935688894740267972013-01-28T10:11:13.052-05:002013-01-28T10:11:13.052-05:00So do I, Nikki. When I was working on a post about the small town in romance fiction for H & H, I counted 60 series that I had read. Even I was surprised at the number.Jangahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15128188159653860806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8192776379752748640.post-89243959338980974182013-01-27T00:10:40.022-05:002013-01-27T00:10:40.022-05:00I like the small town setting, but am just as happ...I like the small town setting, but am just as happy with family stories which run as series. Like Catherine Anderson's Harrigan/Kendrick/Coulter books. Actually I guess that in a way, I think of a small town as an extended family!

I have a few of Stuart's suspense books waiting to be read, but somehow, something new and irresistible keeps appearing, demanding my reading time, so that some authors just sink down the TBR pile untried.

It's a bit frustrating having so many enticing parcels waiting to be opened .... but I am coping! I've even read a couple that have similar settings (Oregon coast, Eastern seaboard, etc.) and I still can't get enough. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with not wanting to say goodbye to beloved characters. It's the perfect solution to not wanting the story to end.

I'm bummed I missed commenting on your last blog in time but I put my 2 cents in anyway. :)irisheyeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11730974733998991144noreply@blogger.com
